unique Easter

Easter Sunday started out normal enough...up early, get ready for church, hand out chocolate bunnies and head to church.     At church, a girlfriend and I decided to go see "Jesus Christ Superstar" at a local theatre.   It's the touring production starring Ted Neeley and if you been following very long, you know that I love Ted Neeley.   So off we went....good show....Mr. Neeley wasn't as strong as the last couple of times that I saw him but he's still amazing.

We then decided that food would be a good thing so we headed to Applebee's for a quick bite.   Shortly after sitting down, our benches started shaking.   We thought the people in the booth next to us were bouncing around.  We then realized that everyone was looking around and the tables had started shaking also...EARTHQUAKE!!!

Earthquakes really aren't a big deal in Southern California but this one was like the Energizer Bunny...it kept on going and going and going.....    Turns out it was a 7.2 just south of the Mexico border.    Not too shabby.

Overall, a good and newsworthy day....How was your Easter?

OH! almost forgot!  We received our first order on our photography website....so while I was at the theatre, we were making money.   Nice!

  1. We saw this on the news. Sounded like a big one! Even shut down the rides at Disneyland!

  2. Neeley has an amazing voice. I've only seen him perform in the movie, but would like to see him in a stage production of the show. It's one of my favorite shows, and I've seen many different productions of it. Best I ever saw was in a club in Boston, performed by local rock musicians and such. Better than any of the big-time stage productions, the movie, the records...

While at my sister-in-laws yesterday, we all watched the BBC production, starring Glenn Carter as Jesus. It's quite good, and worth checking out if you haven't seen it.

  3. @suldog...i have seen that version. I'm not a fan of Glenn Carter but the Judas is the best I've seen. I love his portrayal of the character. This is Neeley's finale tour--not sure how long it's going to run. It's making a lot of stops around the country, you should see if it's going to be in your area.
