brownie points for trying

Last year (and pretty much every year before that), Hubby1 has taken me out to dinner for Valentine's day. There are always roses...and usually chocolates. Sound perfect? could be....except for the fact that Hubby1 is not capable of making a dinner reservation, so we go and wait and wait and wait and wait....every stinkin' year.

Last year was ridiculous and I finally told him that we either celebrate on a different day or he needs to plan ahead. So this year? He's taking me to Disneyland on Friday (our passes aren't good on Saturday). Rumor has it that dinner is at the Blue Bayou...which will require a reservation.

Last night (Wednesday), he tried to get through to make a reservation - he hung up after 20 minutes on hold. I'm just laughing.....I love that he's trying but he's cracking me up with trying to get a Friday night reservation on Wednesday. He's so cute.

It'll be interesting to see where we end up......but at least there will be roses and chocolate. *smile*

  1. I'm gonna try this again... I keep getting jammed up by Blogger here. Stupid Blogger. Now that I think about it, maybe the reason Blogger keeps jamming me up is because I keep calling it stupid. Hmmm...

Anyway, what I've tried to say 3 times now is that your hub is getting closer... maybe next year he'll shoot for a whole week ahead when it comes to making the reservation ;). And I said I'm sure you'll have a great time, regardless, though I can't imagine Disney for Vday (but I don't share your enthusiasm for the place!)

  3. What is it with guys and reservations? Too much commitment to make a week out? I won't even go out on VD day - with or without a reservation. Val van Scrooge should be my name.
Okay, I'll shut up now because nothing is coming out right.
