in the garden

i'm famous (well...at least fairly well-known within my circle of friends) for pushing the gardening season. i start plopping seeds and plants in the ground in early to mid march. every couple weeks, i add more plants in the hopes of extending the season into late fall. sometimes it works and other times...not so much.

last year, things were growing smashingly when we had that freak hail storm in late may. i'm praying that we don't have a repeat this spring, becasue there's some good stuff happening in the garden. take a look:
busy week ahead, but it's all fun stuff.
Have a fantastic day!

  1. I have never planted anything in my life! I kill every houseplant I have ever owned. And yet, I still buy them!

  2. I want a garden.. I never think to plant one in time, though. Then there's the "my dog would probably destroy it" thing. Good thing my boyfriend always plants plenty of good veggies at his house.

  3. Your garden looks wonderful. I wish I could grow one. My mother has a beautiful garden, but I think the green thumb skipped a generation. Thanks for sharing.

  5. I just told my kids this morning we needed some plants and flowers to freshen up this place! It's a challenge here in the desert!

  6. Oh--that freak hailstorm. It took most of my tomato plants (that the gophers didn't get first). Man I mourned those plants like they were my children! Let's pray that doesn't happen again this year!
