the weather machine was broken

I went to Disneyland yesterday (are you tired of posts that start that way?).   It rained.   Not the typical California rain, but real rain.  The kind of rain that soaks you to the bone.  AND it was cold.  Not California cold, but almost really cold.  Seriously, 40ish type cold and windy.   brrrrrrr

And, yet, off we went....and we weren't the only crazy people.   There were still lines for pretty much everything.

And, yet, we still managed to have a fantastic time.   Go Us!

it was Kaytee's birthday.

"someone" suggested we ride splash mountain first...
"since we're going to be wet anyway"...
do you see how soaked I am?
we'd been in the park for about 30 minutes.
brrrrrrrrr.....

The rain did stop briefly....

They are sad that we can't make ourselves ill on the teacups.

on space mountain...in the dark....over the shoulder pic....
always fun....

group shot...now the rain had stoppped but it was getting cold and windy...

so we went to PF Changs for the birthday dinner....

and the traditional birthday cake food fight...

such a wonderful, crazy, fun-filled day!

  1. I remember one trip to Disney where it rained all day. It was summer and unexpected and us and just about everyone else in the park bought a yellow Poncho. I spent the whole day watching feet to find people in my family because from about the knees up everyone looked just alike. And, yes it was still a blast.

  2. A whole series of photos of folks on Space Mountain would be hilarious. The one time I rode it, many years back, I had my eyes shut for most of it.
