i do most of my shopping on line.....i get disheartened by the ugliness of people trying to find that perfect gift. They are looking so hard for some stupid thing that they forget to see the magic of the season. They are actually annoyed by the Christmas music! and feel the need to grump about it to anyone within earshot. I LOVE Christmas music (and, just FYI, Bed, Bath and Beyond has a rockin' track playing this year).
i do go out to find stocking stuffers and the annual ornament for each kid. and that was the plan for today. a quick run to the mall for the ornaments I saw last week and then to the super Target for some stocking stuffers and ribbon for the tree. yep, just a quick trip to the mall and Target...that ended up taking 5 1/2 hours. i'm such a loser. lol
First, the ornaments were gone! there were hundreds last week..really! hundreds! so now I have to rethink the whole ornament thing. so that led to World Market, Michael's, and Bed,Bath,&Beyond. and that led to a cookie press, a cooling rack, some incredible chocolate, a coffee from Kelly's, a cute t-shirt, etc etc etc
and then, because it's like 80 degrees here, i was driving with the windows down and a bee flew into my car. i'm allergic to bee stings and guess what the little bugger did? yep! stung me on the arm. a bee sting in December?! you've got to be kidding me!
took care of the sting and then on to Target (which has incredible stuff but horrible ornaments). so i bought all the stuff that you go to Target for and came home.
and now, i'm poor and my arm hurts and i still don't have ornaments. but i did get to rock out to the GREAT music at B,B&Beyond. =D
OMG. Funny stuff. Sorry about your arm, but it makes a great picture in my mind - you all swollen and in Target, etc.

I'm allergic to bees too. once I got stung on the boob in the middle of a performance of an opera. it was fun. also CHRISTMAS MUSIC IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST STUFF IN THE WORLD!!! And my house is filled with it! Yay!

ReplyDeleteOh no! The weird thing is that I was stung by a bee for the first time in my life last week just walking through a parking lot...so weird!
ReplyDeleteI do that too...start at one store and end up at 32 instead. OMG. Stop the madness, they should never let us go anywhere but Target despite the ornament situation.
