today is my day home alone this week. hubby1 and boy2 are snowboarding with friends. girl1 and boy1 are enjoying their first day of the semester at college. it's been rainy and icky for days, so i was really looking forward to a quiet house. the big plans? grocery shopping and bill paying but on my time schedule and returning to a quiet house.
the reality? the guys ran to the store for something this morning at 6AM and their friends arrived at 6:15AM, and, since they didn't see anyone, they ran the doorbell. which set off the three yippy dogs and the very tired wife.
no biggie....i'll just take a nap later. HA!
just about the time i decide that i should shower and become productive, the phone rings. someone ran a stop sign and t-boned boy2. he's okay, just frustrated. so much for a nice relaxing day of doing whatever i want. now there are phone calls to the insurance and appointments to get the car aligned (if that's even possible - i haven't seen it yet) and dealing with who drives what until he gets his car fixed. such a hassle.
yep....this is life with teenagers (young adults).....so much fun... *grin*
Oh, that sucks. But at least the boy is OK :)
ReplyDeleteSome days you just shouldn't get out of bed.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I forgot...the door bell.
It's usually those days that we expect to be so awesome that everything turns to chaos...
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad he's OK. That's my biggest fear about our kids starting to drive in a couple of years.
ReplyDeleteChaos is a lovely thing, isn't it?
