on saturday, i had a craving for fried zucchini and, since i had been sweating it in the garden, i treated myself to a side order from a great burger joint. Let me just state for the record that the portions are HUGE and we usually split the order between 2 or 3 of us.
I had just sat down to pig out and the dogs went wild at the backdoor.
I got up to see what the fuss was. It was a dear friend who needed some wood. In my excitement of seeing him, i completely forgot about the food that i had left on the couch.
Fifteen minutes later, i walked into the living room to discover an empty bag on the floor and 2 VERY plump puppies.
i really didn't need all those calories anyway.....
That would still make me so sad.
ReplyDeleteWhen things like that happen I say it is a sign I shouldn't eat it.
ReplyDelete..sweating in the garden'... It was snowing where I live yesterday. I don't get to sweat in my garden until the end of July. (Lucky you!)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would have taken it so well! Enjoy your garden we have a few more months before we can get outside and plant!
ReplyDeleteI'd have had to go get another order!
ReplyDeletePoor you! Poor plump pups! You just totally made me crave fried zucdhini!
ReplyDeleteThe dogs love fried zucchini? Strange, but I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised. I once had a cat who loved watermelon.
ReplyDeleteHmm. I come from my blog and the evil donuts planted oh, so suspiciously by the wicked receptionist to your blog, where you taunt your fried zucchini. The world, it is against me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog!!!
You guys are hilarious!! Only one entry/comment per person. But I'll count that comment for your nephew.
