finally friday5 - hubby's gone...is anything getting done?

Here we are again....it's FRIDAY!!!! end of another week of lists. which means another opportunity to see what must be done before the weekend can be thoroughly enjoyed.

i'm actually still managing to stay pretty focused. plugging away at the tax stuff....about half way done with gathering and organizing and adding...blah blah blah (it would go faster if i'd do it monthly or even quarterly but that's probably never going to happen).

goals for today:
clean up the back half of the house.
weed another of the flowerbeds.
spend at least 2 hours on paperwork.
exercise.

not bad....i can do this. =D

vacation update:
another of my girlfriends decided to join us and that let to quite an adventure of finding a cabin that would accomodate all of us. at one point, we got completely bumped from the cruise (which was a VERY sad couple of hours). After much whining and begging, they found us a cabin and gave us a discount to help make us feel better. so now we're each cruising with some extra $$$$ in our pockets. woohoo!

saw "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" last night. good movie--not great--but i'd see it again. We went to the 10pm showing -- did you know that it runs about 3 hours? yeah....one tired blogger sitting here.

Lots of movies that look good out right now. Any that you'd recommend? (this is a sad little attempt to get some of you lurkers to break that invisible wall and leave a comment. come on, you can do it!)

  1. Weed a flowerbed? All we'd be weeding here today is icicles!

I saw Benjamin Button a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. I'm going tomorrow to see Last Chance Harvey with Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson... it looks good, too. I'll let you know.

  2. I was thinking the same thing as Diane? Even our weeds are dead and gone here in this frigid weather!

I'm going to the movies this weekend with my sons. Hoping to see Ben Butt, but not certain!

I saw that you left a comment on my blog, so I had to come check you out (I'm nosy that way!)
I like what I see! I'll be back!

  4. I loved Benjamin Button. I really loved it. I'm almost sad that you didn't... But alas.... Y'know what's a good movie Jill? Twilight. Yup. You should see it. If you don't go of your own free will I'd be happy to blindfold and kidnapp you and drag you to the mission grove theatre (which is like the only place still showing it here) and force you to watch it. What's great is I'm a ninja, so you'd never see me coming....
