I might have to book another cruise... *le sigh*
and it's Pittsburgh's fault.
I have been on a cruise the last two times the Steelers have won the Super Bowl. If they make it this year, I feel obligated to book a last minute trip....cuz I'm a true fan.

i see a pattern
I just realized that last year I scheduled a DMV appointment for the day after our cruise and this year I scheduled a dentist appointment.....

love vacations....hate coming back to invoices and tax paperwork. so while I'm working on finding my desk, enjoy this pic. It made me smile (you can click on it to enlarge it):
vacation recap
we're home! the cruise was incredible...here's a brief recap:
the upgraded accomodations
the living room (there were 2 bedrooms and 2 baths also)
the mystery dinner theater:
the whale watching:
shortly after this, one of the whales bumped our little zodiac with it's tail
i guess we were a little too close
it's always a good idea to have a professional photographer along--
Shannon took this fabulous shot:
i like the effect on this one --
the adventure:
we thought it would be fun to hike to "El Faro" which is atop that "little" hill.
hahahahahahahahaha
we made it but that hill was not little.
the "town and country tequila tasting tour"--
the one where they start by telling you that there are no restrooms available
so everyone stops drinking water;
and then they offer you a free beer at every stop;
and then four hours later, they offer you shots of 6 different types of tequila.
these pictures were taken before the tequila stop:
the rock climbing wall:
overall, a fantastic trip.
there was a bomb threat while we were on the town and country tour,
so our 4 hour tour ended up being 7 hours but it was all good.
blessed
yesterday, i was checking our vacation plans to make sure everything was in order. i noticed that our room had been moved to a different deck. strange...i haven't received any notification about a change. curious, i checked out the room number and discovered that we have gone from this cabin:
we are so STINKIN' EXCITED!!!!!!

counting down
4 more days and i'm off on a cruise to Mexico.
4 more days and there will be sunshine and 80 degree temps.
4 more days and there will be meals that I did not prepare, serve and clean up after.
4 more days and I won't have to deal with the mud and water flooding our garage during every stinkin' rain.
4 more days and I'll be feeling ocean breezes on my face.
4 more days...I should probably start packing.....

focus focus focus....
my brain is all over the place this morning, so hold on tight.
1. I'm not really sure why I'm having my car washed this morning but at least it will look nice for a few hours before the rain arrives.
2. Hubby1 got up early and brought all the Christmas boxes to the front room for me.
3. I'm thankful that I inherited my mom's packing skills. If I hadn't, we'd have to build a new room for all the Christmas boxes.
4. I don't really want to go to a wedding this afternoon. I'm in the mood to deep clean the house and start decorating.
5. So excited that it's supposed to be cool and rainy for the next few days. I love baking when it's cold outside, so there will be lots of goodies coming out of the oven this week.
6. Possibly going to Disneyland on Monday....in the rain....we call them poncho days....and they are sooooo much fun!
7. Anyone want a piano?
8. Boy2 went to Disneyland yesterday with friends....I was jealous.
9. My toes are FREEZING.
10. Pumpkin pie and coffee is possibly the best breakfast .....even better than cold pizza and dr. pepper.
11. Is it any wonder that I have to workout so much?
12. Pretty sure the Steelers aren't going to be playing football in February this year. sadness
13. Why do I feel the need to number these lists? I could use letters or even dots or stars.
14. Firewood sales should be awesome this week....wooohoo! Vacation money!!
15. 51 days til the cruise!!!!
Have a fantastical weekend.

thanksgiving recap
Spent Thanksgiving with hubby1's family. Thanksgiving day was filled with great food and a wild round of "house rules" pictionary. The guys spent most of the day blowing up gophers with the a home built device that seriously blows up gopher tunnels. It's scary but works great. As always, it rained on us on Friday...it's tradition. Friday night was a quick run to the mall and dinnner at On the Border....good times.
But the best part of the whole weekend was the girls deciding we should take girl1 on a trip before she gets married. So we sat down to figure out what would be the most fun. It didn't take too long. Here's what we will be doing in only 57 days:
Yep, we be cruisin'! heading to Mexico for 7 days....for about $600 per person. woohoo for Travelocity!
