I might have to book another cruise... *le sigh*
and it's Pittsburgh's fault.
I have been on a cruise the last two times the Steelers have won the Super Bowl. If they make it this year, I feel obligated to book a last minute trip....cuz I'm a true fan.

oh those Steelers
I may be going out on a limb here, but I'm predicting that the Steelers will not be adding a 7th championship to their collection this year.
and that's really all I have to say on the subject.
time for a list
things i love about fall:
10. snuggling under the poofy comforter
9. sweaters
8. baking cookies to warm up the house
7. scarves
6. crisp breezes
5. leaves changing colors
4. pumpkin spice coffee
3. fires in the fireplace
2. pumpkin spice candles
and the number one reason i love fall?

still here.....just not "here"
so, what did i bring back from vacation? a very "lovely" virus that knocked me flat on my butt for most of the week. Other than an ill-advised visit (a very short visit) to Disneyland on Thursday to collect my free $69 gift card (birthday promotion at Disneyland), i haven't left the house all week.
here's a pic of my girlfriends after the cruise:
I did make it to church this morning, but only one service and i'm exhausted and back lounging on the couch, trying to not cough up any more pieces of lung. amazingly, and thankfully, my family has managed to stay healthy.
so here's the quick run down of my wonderful cruise with the girlfriends. we got on the ship on thursday, slept, ate, tanned, watched some movies, watched some live shows, and watched an INCREDIBLE Super Bowl with about a thousand of our closest friends. I'm a loyal Steeler's fan so you can imagine the crap I was taking when Arizona scored late in the 4th and you can also imagine what was handed back on a platter when the Steeler's pulled it off. good times.....
We also had an incredible experience watching whales and was offered the "good stuff" in Cabo and then we came home Monday morning. I'm glad we chose the 4 day cruise - I think 3 would have been too short.

and us enjoying starbucks in Cabo:
and a couple more shots of the whales:
woohoo!
it's cruisin' time......

i got nothing
seriously......nothing......
great day of football yesterday. and the interesting fact that, for the third time, i have booked a cruise over super bowl sunday. and, for the third time, the steelers have made it to the super bowl when i'm cruising. considering that i book vacations at least 6 months in advance, i think the steelers should be paying to send me on cruises. and, yes, i will give up sitting by the pool to watch the game.
really.....nothing......
laughing at the uproar surrounding the Burger King/Facebook promotion. it was a stupid promotion but not a newsworthy story. and, on a side note, none of my friends deleted me to get their whopper...woohoo! lol
why are you still reading?......i got nothin'........
Guido is attacking his dogfood again. He takes one piece from the bowl --carries it to the carpet by the front door -- and then kills it. seriously, growling - biting - throwing it - makes sure it's not moving -- pounces on it again - for about 2 minutes and then eats it. then he goes and eats the rest of the food from the bowl. everytime. he won't eat until he has "killed" one piece. stupid dog.
and one more nothing before i leave.....
it's only suppose to be 78 here today. that's our "cooling" trend. hahahahahahaha a chance of rain by wednesday night -- a whopping 1/4" -- we'll be on "storm watch" again. gotta love it!

I FOUND IT!
and am no longer lost.....(do you remember the "I found it!" campaign?)
but, no, I'm not talking about finding Jesus (although I have). I'm talking about my poor GPS. I guess when I got up at 4am last Saturday to take my husband to the airport (LAX - ugh) so he could spend five days in Hawaii with his family, I had a thought that I should take the GPS in case of freeway closures. I honestly don't remember that thought, but the GPS was in hubby1's truck.
Boy2 found it today when he and hubby1 were coming home from a day of snowboarding. Of course he had to call me and let me know how stupid I am. But he did it with "love," so i'm only taking one Christmas gift back. Of course, it will be the X-Box but it's still only ONE gift. lol
in other news -
the Steelers lost, but I'll get over it.
and it's the first day of winter.
and it's suppose to be really cold and wet on Christmas. and as much as I grumped about the snow in LA last week, a white Christmas would be kind of special.
and I only have about 100 more pictures to scan and I have 3 days. i think i'm going to make it. whew!
